Meet your therapist

Sarah Dailey

MAMFT, LPC, founder and owner of Three Oaks Counseling Center.

Having experienced being on “the other side of the couch,” I know how the therapeutic journey is a unique experience to help connect and make sense of suffering in your story and create a purposeful life. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I left Texas for Mississippi and spent nearly 10 years there. In Mississippi I completed my undergraduate degree, served in Teach For America program, accomplished my masters degree, completed over one thousand hours of my first work with clients, met and married my husband, and gave birth to our first son. I received my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2017. I returned to Texas, and after obtaining licensure in Texas in 2018, I have been working with clients in the Cypress area.

I have experience working closely with individuals struggling to overcome family of origin issues, developmental trauma, grief, divorce recovery, maternal mental health issues, abuse, anxiety, codependency, mood disorders, faith journeys, and parenting issues. I am also highly experienced with couples struggling from trauma and infidelity that create a large rupture in the relationship.

Three Oaks Counseling Is Right For You

Hardship and suffering are inevitable. I ensure you will find Three Oaks Counseling Center a refuge to explore your story in a healing way, encountering truth that will produce wholeness within yourself, your relationships, your work, and your community.

My therapeutic approach starts with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about meeting clients where they are in their season of life to make sure that clients are heard and valued.

My philosophy of utilizing the family systems approach focuses on relational patterns. Specifically, I am attuned to the specific ways our family of origin can impact how we are functioning in our present day. I take into account your personal story, bringing clarity to your experience by also observing the larger systems you are a part of (family, work, community) so that lasting change is created.

I include EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing), which is reported to help clients experience relief from distressing experiences. EMDR therapy works with your brain’s natural way of recovering by helping it reprocess and resolve distressing memories. The symptoms typically resolve upon completing the reprocessing of the identified memories. Many people report noticing improvement within the first 8-10 appointments.

I am Gottman trained and use the most evidence based and ground breaking couples counseling techniques offered. I am certified to use Prepare/Enrich for those seeking premarital counseling.

When not in the therapist chair you will find Sarah out with her husband, playing outside with her three boys, serving and worshipping at her local church, King’s Cross, nerding out with continued education, maintaining sessions on “the other side of the couch” with her own therapist to continue her personal growth, or spending time with her friends.

Meet Three Oaks

In early 2023 Sarah realized that to live congruently with growth she accomplished in her own therapy, she needed to create Three Oaks Counseling Center. Sarah is passionate that each client that comes to Three Oaks will leave feeling more certain about who they are, what they need in relationships, and how to create a life that is meaningful in the midst of all the suffering and hardship that life inevitably brings.

Three Oaks is a safe haven for clients to develop deep roots, grounded in a never ending stream of water so that clients may grow large branches that mature and produce fruit abundantly.

At Three Oaks Counseling Center, we will take time to define your needs, explore your pain points, and develop a treatment plan that best suits you. By making sense of your past and finding congruence and connection in your present, you will find hope again to live purposefully and have meaning in your future.

You are able to connect with Sarah in person in Cypress, Texas, or virtually for Telehealth.
